Chelsea seek quick Morata agreement; opening bid prepared
Chelsea are ready to make an opening offer of €80m for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
After being trumped by Manchester Unitedfor former Everton striker Romelu Lukaku,AS says Chelsea are focusing their attention on a deal for Morata.
The Spain international has also been left in limbo as he was negotiating with United before the Lukaku bombshell dropped last week.
AS says Chelsea will make an opening bid of €80m, though Real president Florentino Perez is demanding another €10m to sell.
Chelsea want to reach an agreement this week, with personal terms already being discussed. Morata has approved the outline of a 4-5 year contract proposal worth €6m-a-year.
If Chelsea make headway in the coming hours, Real are expected to leave Morata out of their US tour squad to allow him to travel to London.
